It’s a bit strange to me that life rarely ever turns out the way people intend. When I was 5 years old, I wanted to be a country singer. When I was 12, I wanted to be a teacher. When I was in college, I decided on law school. I’m now 30, and I’m working in the tech industry for a startup company. And I couldn’t be happier. I imagine this kind of thing happens more often than people discuss, but that’s not the point.
The point is, I’ve made some things in my life a priority, and being true to myself is at the top of that list (oddly that wasn’t always the case). Part of being me is being creative – things from baking adorable cupcakes, crafting weird things, organizing ridiculous parties, and occasionally dressing my pug up in stupid costumes. I’m also a total nerd, I’m a bit goofy, and I like to write.
I previously wrote beer reviews until I had an incident with my website being destroyed, though if I’m really honest, I hadn’t updated it in quite some time and was losing some interest when the crash happened. I’ve decided that the beer related ramblings shouldn’t be my only literary outlet anyway. Also, many friends have mentioned a craft or baking blog, so here I am. I hope you enjoy my random crafting, dessert makings, the pug pictures and the nerdiness.
Also if you want to get to know me a little more – you know, beyond this blog – you can always find me on the social media thingymadoodles here:
